Woman Sexually Assaulted in Swindon – Police Urge Witnesses to Come Forward

Wiltshire police are hunting for witnesses after a 19-year-old woman was sexually assaulted in Swindon late on Thursday, 10 September.

Disturbing Incident at Greenbridge Retail Park

The victim was walking alone around 10.30pm near Greenbridge Retail Park, Greenbridge Road, and Dorcan Way when a man approached her. Before the attack, a woman in a car stopped and claimed she was a nurse, asking if the young woman needed help. The victim declined, and the car drove off.

Moments later, the unknown male walked with the woman before assaulting her close to the Esso garage on Dorcan Way.

Suspect Description and Call for Witnesses

The attacker is described as a white male with dark hair, wearing jeans, a dark jumper, and black-and-white trainers. Police have released a photo of the suspect.

Det Insp Paul Hacker said: “We want to speak to anyone in this area on the night of 10 September who saw anything suspicious. Maybe you noticed a woman walking alone or with a man? We’re especially eager to hear from the nurse who stopped before the assault. If that was you, please get in touch.”

Police are also appealing for dash cam footage from drivers near the scene.
