Knife-Wielding Teen Terrorises Pembroke Youths on Scooters
A 16-year-old boy was threatened with a knife while sitting with friends near Skylark Road and Snarlton Lane at 8.15pm on March 21.
The attacker, a man the teen didn’t know, suddenly produced a knife and pressed it against the boy’s chest after the group shouted at him. He then grabbed the boy’s clothing before letting go, and the group fled the scene.
Distinctive Scooter Clues in Violent Attacks
The suspect is described as a black male, about 6ft tall, average build. He wore a black balaclava, blue jacket, and black Nike Air Max trainers. Eyewitnesses say he appeared to be in his late teens and was riding a distinctive e-scooter with a seat.
Just a day earlier, on March 20 at 7.20pm, a 17-year-old boy was attacked by a gang of four males on Pembroke Road. One of them demanded money the teenager supposedly owed. After the teen denied it, he was punched in the face, leaving a painful injury and swelling. His mobile phone was then stolen.
The group suspects in that case were also aged 16 to 17, with one riding an e-scooter as well.
Police Hunt E-Scooter Gang
Inspector Gill Hughes said: “The victims in both of these incidents have understandably been left shaken up. On one occasion, the victim was injured, and on the other, he was threatened with violence. Both suspects have been described riding a distinctive e-scooter with a seat.
