Hampshire Police Hunt Trio Over Brutal Bottle Attack
Police in Hampshire are on the lookout for three men linked to a savage assault in Lower Bannister Street on March 2.
Victim Suffered Serious Head Injuries
Between 10.50pm and 11.20pm, a man in his 50s was attacked by a group wielding a glass bottle. Officers found a broken bottle at the scene. The victim suffered a fractured skull and brain bleed. He was rushed to southampton/" title="Southampton" data-wpil-keyword-link="linked">Southampton General Hospital but has since been discharged.
Police Release Photos of Suspects
Detectives have released images of three men seen nearby during the incident. They want to speak to them urgently.
- One suspect: White, 20s, 6ft tall, stocky build
- Two others: White, 20s, slim build

“The victim had been at the Southampton vs West Ham football match and later went to the Giddy Bridge pub on London Road,” said Rebecca Stevens from the Western Investigations Department.
“We believe the suspects were also at the pub and a possible altercation broke out there.”
“If you recognise these men or saw anything suspicious around the city centre that night, please get in touch.”
