Bike Thief Swipes £1,000 Hybrid in Bold Test-Ride Sting
On Monday 25 October 2021 at around 8.30pm, a cheeky thief turned a test ride into a clean getaway in Broomfield Road. The man arranged online to buy a ‘Cube Reaction Hybrid’ bike but instead of paying up, he rode off with the bike — and vanished without a trace.
Suspect Description Released
Police describe the suspect as a white male, aged around 17 or 18. He’s about 5ft 10ins tall, with short dark hair. At the time, he wore a black coat, black jeans, and black trainers.
Police Appeal for Information
The investigation is ongoing, and officers have released an image of the stolen bike to help track down the culprit.
