Fatal Cyclist Crash Shakes North Weald

Tragedy struck early on Thursday 8 October when a male cyclist was killed in a collision with a Vauxhall Zafira on the A414 at the junction with Vicarage Lane, North Weald.

Deadly Smash at Dawn

Emergency services rushed to the scene at around 5.20am, including paramedics, officers, and the air ambulance. Sadly, the 33-year-old cyclist from Takeley was pronounced dead at the scene.

The road was shut for hours as police carefully examined the crash site.

Driver Injured, Witnesses Urgently Needed

The Vauxhall driver suffered minor injuries and was taken to hospital. Police are now probing the circumstances and want to speak to the drivers of two vehicles seen passing through the area immediately after the crash.

Both vehicles were heading in the same direction on the A414.
