A huge cloud of cannabis smoke is billowing across North London after a massive fire tore through a business park unit packed with cannabis plants. The blaze erupted early Sunday morning at an industrial estate on Abbey Road, Park Royal, sending smoke visible for miles.
Over 100 Firefighters Battle Industrial Inferno
Emergency crews scrambled as 15 fire engines and around 100 firefighters rushed to the scene. London Fire Brigade confirmed the industrial fire was under control by early afternoon after devastating a range of business units.
“Fifteen fire engines and around 100 firefighters are dealing with an industrial blaze on Abbey Road in #ParkRoyal. Smoke can be seen from miles around. Please avoid the area if possible,” said the London Fire Brigade.
Salvation Army Steps In To Support ‘High’ Firefighters
As the smoke from the massive cannabis grow filled the air, some firefighters reportedly felt the effects – including the munchies. The Salvation Army attended to help support the crew impacted by the unique situation.
Road Closures and Warnings for Locals
Coronation Road is closed in all directions at the Abbey Road junction, and motorists are urged to find alternate routes. Authorities warn people to steer clear of the area while investigations into the fire’s cause continue.
