Pensioner Scammed Out of £500 in Callous Card Con

Police want to speak to a man linked to a brazen fraud targeting a 75-year-old pensioner in Fareham.

On 1 August, the pensioner received a phone call from a man pretending to be a bank official. He claimed she needed a new bank card and said a courier would collect her old cards and PIN.

Courier Convinces Victim to Hand Over Cards and PIN

At 3pm, a man arrived at her home on 1 (address withheld) and persuaded her to give up her PIN and cards. The fraudster then used her cards to withdraw £500 from her account.

Police Seek Help to ID Suspect

Officers have released an image of the man and want to identify him as he may hold key information. Anyone with info should call 101 quoting reference 44180290959, or contact Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
