Teen Girl Groped in Cowes – Police Hunt Suspect

Police are probing a shocking incident in Cowes where a 16-year-old girl was inappropriately touched in broad daylight. The attack happened on Mill Hill Road between 8:30pm and 8:45pm on Monday 12 February.

The girl was standing near the junction with Newport Road when a stranger grabbed her bottom over her clothes. Thankfully, she wasn’t hurt and quickly ran home.

Police Boost Patrols, Urge Public to Speak Up

Neighbourhood officers have ramped up patrols around the area all week, keeping a close eye out for suspicious behaviour.

They are appealing for anyone who witnessed the incident or has experienced similar abuse nearby to come forward.

  • Short dark hair and light stubble
  • Average build with wrinkled skin
  • Wearing a dark coat and trousers with a red top
  • Seen walking towards Birmingham Road
