Tragic Hit-and-Run in King’s Lynn: Unidentified Woman Killed
Police are hunting witnesses after a fatal collision on the A47 in King’s Lynn claimed the life of a woman who remains unidentified.
Deadly Crash on A47 Slip Road
The horror unfolded just before 10pm on Sunday, 17 November 2024. A white Renault Trucks Master van struck a pedestrian on the westbound slip road from Saddlebow. Despite emergency crews arriving quickly — including an air ambulance — the woman was pronounced dead at the scene.
Victim Description: Can You Help ID Her?
Police have described the victim as a white woman, slim build, around 5ft 5in tall, with shoulder-length auburn hair, part dyed purple.
- Light blue denim jeans
- Dark blue hooded zip-up top
- Green wax-style Primark coat with a fur hood
She was also wearing black and purple ‘Maxsteel’ steel toe-capped trainers, a silver crucifix necklace, and a plain gold ring.
Most distinctive was a large red chilli pepper tattoo on her right ankle.
Police Plea for Information
Detective Inspector Dave McCormack said:
“So far, we have been unable to identify this woman. We want to contact her family and ask anyone with information to come forward.”
The road remained closed until after 2:20 AM while police probed the scene.
