Man Mowed Down by 4×4 in Shocking Edinburgh Attack
Police raced to Stenhouse Grove, Edinburgh, at around 7.25pm on Wednesday, 7 April 2021, after reports of a violent scuffle between two men.
Eyewitnesses say a black 4×4 then deliberately ploughed into one of the men on nearby Stenhouse Street West, sending him crashing to the ground before speeding off. The victim bolted from the scene along Stenhouse Street West.
Suspect Description Revealed
The driver, believed to be a white male in his 20s, stands about 5ft 10in, slim with a gaunt face, and short blonde-brown hair. He wore a light-coloured top and grey jogging bottoms, and spoke with a local accent.
Police Hunt Victim and Witnesses
Detective Sergeant Dougal Begg said: “Our priority is to find the man who was struck to ensure he is safe and receives any medical help needed.”
“We’re still piecing together what led to this. The victim, described as a white male aged 20-30, medium build, possibly brown-haired, was wearing a beige jumper and grey jogging bottoms.”
“After an assault on Stenhouse Grove, the attacker got into a black 4×4 with a male passenger and deliberately hit the victim, throwing him into a hedge, then fled.”
“Officers are scouring the area and urge anyone with info to contact Corstorphine CID via 101, quoting reference 2912 of 7 April 2021.”

Police remain keen to track down both the victim and any witnesses to this terrifying hit-and-run.
