Tragic Death on M23 in Early Morning Horror
Officers rushed to the M23 between junctions 8 and 9 just after 1am following reports of a pedestrian on the carriageway. Sadly, a woman was found dead at the scene.
Motorway Shut Down, Then Reopened
The tragic incident forced police to temporarily close the motorway. It reopened around 6am after investigations wrapped up.
Police Hunt for Witnesses and Dashcam Footage
Police are appealing for anyone who was driving through the area at the time to come forward. They’re especially keen on any dashcam clips that might help piece together what happened.
