Early Morning Van Chaos on M27: Man Arrested After Dangerous Driving Spree
Police rushed to the scene just after 6am this Sunday, 8 August, after reports of a white Ford Transit weaving wildly along the M27. The van, seen speeding eastbound from junction 5, battered cones and barriers, causing havoc on the busy motorway.
Van Spotted and Stopped Near Farlington
Officers caught up with the vehicle near junction 11 and finally stopped it on the A27 close to Farlington. The van is easy to spot with its bright orange and red chevrons on the back doors.
Bournemouth Man Arrested Over Drug and Dangerous Driving Charges
A 36-year-old man from Bournemouth was arrested at the scene. He faces serious allegations including dangerous driving, driving while unfit through drugs, and driving with illegal drug levels in his system. Police confirm he remains in custody as investigations continue.
Witnesses Urgently Needed
Officers want to hear from anyone travelling on the A31 and M27 eastbound between 5.50am and 6.20am who may have seen the erratic van. Dashcam footage could prove vital.
