M4 Shut After Fatal Crash in Reading – Major Delays Ahead
Police have shut a huge stretch of the M4 Eastbound after a deadly collision near Reading. The closure affects the motorway between junction 11 and junction 10.
Crash Sparks Overnight M4 Closure
The Eastbound carriageway was closed just after 3am. Authorities warn the road could stay closed for hours as they investigate the scene.
A massive Iceland articulated lorry is involved, with police specialists combing the wreckage. Incident screens block lane 3 on the Westbound side too, where drivers are creeping past, rubbernecking.
Traffic Chaos as Diversions Kick In
Traffic on both the diversion routes and westbound lanes is crawling. Locals face slow journeys as police divert all eastbound traffic off the motorway.
Highways England directs drivers to:
- Exit at junction 11
- Follow signs with a hollow circle along the B3270
- Join the A329, then the A329(M) southbound
- Rejoin the M4 at junction 10
Stay tuned for live updates as police work to clear the crash site and reopen the M4.
