Police Nab Volvo Linked to Hackney Murder of Young Man, ‘Samson’

Detectives have recovered a Volvo estate believed to be tied to the fatal shooting of Oluwamayowa Adeyemi, known as Samson.

Volvo Found Abandoned with Fake Plates

Just hours after Samson was gunned down in Hackney, police found the getaway car. The large Volvo estate was abandoned on Cowper Road, N16, early Saturday morning, 6 June. It was undamaged but sported a false number plate — EX18EXE.

Detectives say the car may have been switched between plates in the days leading up to the shooting.

Detectives Urge Public to Come Forward

Detective Chief Inspector Paul Considine said: “This Volvo has some distinctive marks — scuffing on both front bumper corners and the front passenger mirror is taped on. We want to hear from anyone who’s seen this car or knows who owns it.”

“If you saw the shooting or have any information that could help, even if it seems small, please get in touch. This tragic loss demands justice.”
