Two Men Held Over Brutal Night Attack in Norwich

Police have extended questioning of two men arrested for Grievous Bodily Harm after a violent assault in Norwich early Saturday morning.

Attack on St Vedast Street Leaves Victim Fighting for Life

The suspects, one in his late teens and the other in his 20s, were detained Saturday afternoon and remain in custody at Wymondham Police Investigation Centre as detectives press for answers.

The violent incident happened just before 2.30am on St Vedast Street when emergency crews rushed to the scene after reports of a man being attacked.

The victim, a man in his 20s, was taken to Norfolk and Norwich University Hospital before being transferred to Addenbrooke’s Hospital, where he remains in a critical condition with life-threatening injuries.

Police Hunt Witnesses and Footage From Early Hours

A police cordon sealed off the area but was lifted by late afternoon on Saturday. Investigations are ongoing.

Detectives urge anyone who was near St Vedast Street between 2.10am and 2.30am Saturday to come forward. They are especially interested in witnesses or anyone with dashcam or CCTV footage.
