Brutal Brawl Rocks Red Lion Car Park in Portsmouth
A violent attack erupted just before 6pm last night in the Red Lion car park on London Road, leaving two men injured and a suspect in custody.
Two Men Hurt in Bloody Assault
- A 27-year-old Portsmouth man was badly hurt, suffering chest and abdomen wounds. He was rushed to Southampton General Hospital and remains in serious but stable condition.
- A second victim, a 39-year-old also from Portsmouth, sustained minor injuries to his face and back. He is now stable at QA Hospital.
Man Arrested on Attempted Murder Charges
Police were called at 5.43pm after reports of the violent attack. Officers arrested a 34-year-old Portsmouth man on suspicion of attempted murder. He remains in police custody.
Police Reassure Public Amid Growing Concerns
Portsmouth North Inspector Jon Tilbury said: “We understand people will be concerned, but all involved know each other. This was not a random attack. We will patrol the area today. Please come to us if you have any questions or concerns.”
Detectives urge anyone with dashcam footage from the area to step forward.
