Christmas Horror in Worksop: Two Men Arrested After Brutal Assault
Police swooped on Newcastle Street, Worksop, after a shocking Christmas Day assault left a 22-year-old man fighting for his life.
Man Found Unconscious with Serious Head Injuries
At around 6pm on December 25, officers and paramedics rushed to reports of an unconscious man in the street. The victim had sustained severe head injuries and was quickly rushed to hospital.
Two Men Arrested, Police Investigate
Two suspects, aged 44 and 34, are now in custody as police launch a full-scale investigation. A cordon remains in place around Newcastle Street as officers comb for evidence.
Detective Inspector Gail Routledge said: “This is a serious assault that has left a man with significant injuries. We arrived quickly on the scene and have arrested two men in connection with this incident. A cordon will be in place while we continue with the investigation.”
