Woman Killed in Hit-and-Run Moped Crash in West London

A 58-year-old woman died after being hit by a moped on Talgarth Road, W14, just after 6pm on Tuesday, 16 January. Ina Rodrigues was crossing at the junction with Gliddon Road when the moped struck her.

Moped Riders Flee Scene After Crash

Emergency services rushed to the scene, and Ina was taken to hospital with serious injuries. Despite efforts, she sadly passed away on Sunday, 21 January. The moped riders did not stop. CCTV later captured the abandoned moped nearby, but both the rider and passenger fled on foot.

Police Search for Hit-and-Run Suspects

Detective Constable Matt Jackson from the Roads and Transport Policing Command is leading the investigation. He said:

“Our investigation has tracked the moped to where it was abandoned, but we need the public’s help to identify the two people on it at the time. Ina’s family has been devastated by this tragedy and deserve answers. If you can help, please get in touch immediately.”
