A murder investigation is underway after Wenjing Xu was found dead at Blue Sky Chinese in Ynyswen last Friday. Two men, seriously injured in the incident, were later arrested and remain in hospital in stable condition.

Police Appeal to Motorists for Dashcam Footage

South Wales Police are urging drivers who were on Baglan Street between 11:50am and 12:15pm to check their dashcams for any clues. Detective Chief Inspector Mark Lewis, from the Major Crimes Investigation Unit, said:

“We have a dedicated team carrying out extensive inquiries. Many cars passed the Blue Sky premises at that busy time, and dashcam footage could be vital.”

Officer Warns Against Online Speculation

Det Ch Insp Lewis also revealed officers are supporting Wenjing’s family and monitoring social media closely:

“We urge people to avoid fuelling speculation and rumours online. Anyone who breaks the law on these platforms will be dealt with robustly.”

The investigation remains active as officers hunt for more information to piece together what happened at the busy takeaway in Ynyswen.
