Teen Stabbed to Death in Lordship Recreation Ground
Police are hunting killers after 16-year-old Stelios Averkiou died from stab wounds in Lordship Recreation Ground, Tottenham. Officers will be out in force at the park on Sunday afternoon, 15 August, speaking to anyone who might have seen something.
Brutal Attack in Broad Daylight
Stelios was found with serious stab injuries inside the park at around 2:15pm on Sunday, 1 August. Despite rushed hospital treatment, he died on 10 August. A post-mortem confirmed the cause of death was a sharp force trauma to his left thigh.
Suspects Flee Scene – Police Beg for Witnesses
Detective Chief Inspector Dan O’Sullivan, leading the murder probe, revealed two men were involved. “Following the attack, they fled towards the south end of the recreation ground – one may have been on a bike,” he said.
