Shoplifters Nab Alcohol from Waitrose in Newark
Police were called to Waitrose on Ossington Way, Newark, after reports of a shoplifting spree.
Two suspects stuffed multiple bottles of booze into backpacks and walked out without paying. The daring heist happened at around 1.40pm on 6 February 2023.
Police Launch Appeal to Catch Suspects
Nottinghamshire Police have released CCTV images and want to track down the two men believed to be involved.
“Shop thefts like this are completely unacceptable and seriously damage the trust within our community,” said PC Emma Weatherhill.
“There’s an unspoken rule that shoppers must pay for what they want – stealing isn’t on.”
“These thefts are a blight on society and will always be fully investigated by Nottinghamshire Police.”
“We believe the two pictured could have key information to help our inquiries. Anyone who knows them should come forward.”
