Woman Dead in Bournemouth Murder Probe
Detectives have named a woman who died in suspicious circumstances at a Bournemouth address. At around 2.40pm on Sunday, October 2, officers were called to a property in Harley Gardens where they found a woman with serious injuries. Sadly, she was pronounced dead at the scene.
26-Year-Old Victim Named
The victim has been identified as 26-year-old Natasha Wake, although formal identification is still pending. Dorset Police’s Major Crime Investigation Team (MCIT) is leading the murder inquiry as a post-mortem is scheduled for today, Monday 3 October. Natasha’s family are being supported by specially-trained officers.
Man Arrested in Murder Investigation
A 26-year-old man from Plymouth, Devon, was arrested yesterday at Hengistbury Head on suspicion of murder. He remains in custody and is assisting police with their enquiries. Early findings indicate the suspect and Natasha were known to each other.
Police Appeal for Witnesses
Detective Chief Inspector Sarah Derbyshire from MCIT said: “A major investigation is underway to establish exactly what happened at this address in Harley Gardens. A cordon is in place as crime scene investigators examine the property. We are also carrying out house-to-house enquiries.”
Police are urging anyone who saw or heard anything suspicious in Harley Gardens between Saturday 1 October and Sunday 2 October to come forward immediately.
