Gun Scare at Seven Kings Mosque Sparks Police Probe
Detectives have launched a rapid investigation after a firearm was discharged near a mosque in Seven Kings. The tension stems from an earlier street incident close to the mosque, police reveal.
Man with Gun Driven Out of Mosque
Police were called at 10.45pm on Thursday, 9 May, following reports that a man carrying a firearm had entered the mosque on High Road, Seven Kings. Those inside promptly escorted him outside. Moments later, a gunshot rang out.
No Injuries, Blank Firing Gun Used
- Armed officers quickly arrived on scene.
- No one was injured and the mosque sustained no damage.
- Ballistics confirm the weapon was a blank-firing handgun.
Probe Ongoing, Not Terror-Related
The Trident Specialist Crime unit is on the case. No arrests have been made yet, and enquiries continue.
“At this stage, the incident is not being treated as terrorism-related,” police said.
