Police Nab Suspected Thieves with Stolen Trailer and Ride-On Lawnmower
Tunbridge Wells Community Policing Team swooped on suspicious activity in Old Hay, Brenchley, uncovering a haul of stolen goods — including a ride-on lawnmower and a trailer.
Stolen Goods Caught in the Act
Officers arrived on the scene Friday afternoon, 5 May 2023, just as the trailer was being hitched to a pick-up truck. Quick checks revealed the trailer, lawnmower, and other items in the truck were stolen overnight from a Priors Heath property in Goudhurst.
Man Arrested, Investigation Rolls On
A 20-year-old man from Orpington, Greater London, was arrested on the spot. He faces theft charges and is currently bailed with strict conditions to return to the police station on 2 August. The probe continues.
