British Transport Police posted on X: “Last night our officers were called to #Strood to assist @kent_police with recovery of a weapon used in a serious assault. The weapon was thrown trackside and a search team from @kent_police found the item in thick undergrowth. We assisted with access along with @NetworkRailSE.”
