Masked Men Open Fire on Police in East London Car Chase
Three Arrested After Dramatic Shootout
Masked gunmen fired at police during a tense car chase in Forest Gate, East London, late last night. Scotland Yard confirmed three suspects are now in custody following the dramatic incident.
Gunfire Exchanged in High-Stakes Pursuit
Armed officers from the Met’s CO19 unit rushed to Lascelles Close, E11, at around 10:45pm after reports of a firearm. When the suspects refused to stop, they spearheaded a dangerous vehicle pursuit through east London.
The suspects then opened fire at the police, who returned fire to protect themselves. The chase ended on Bective Road, E7, where all three suspects were detained and arrested on suspicion of attempted murder.
No Injuries Amid Intense Shootout
Thankfully, no one was hurt—not the suspects, the police, nor any bystanders. A police cordon remains in place as investigations continue.
