Blagrove Crescent Blaze: Police Hunt Arsonist After Early-Morning Fire

Avon & Somerset Police are appealing for help after an arson attack in Bristol’s Hartcliffe area. In the early hours of Sunday, January 7, the front door of a house on Blagrove Crescent was set on fire.

Thankfully, the household occupants, including children, spotted the smoke and put out the flames before firefighters arrived. PC David Thorne, leading the probe, warned: “The outcome could’ve been devastating had one of the residents not smelled smoke and raised the alarm.”

Police Investigation in Full Swing – But Now Need You

Residents remain shaken as police carry out house-to-house inquiries and forensic checks. Now officers are asking locals to come forward with any info. PC Thorne said anyone in the area that night who saw suspicious activity should speak up.

He also urged anyone with CCTV, doorbell, or dashcam footage that could help to share the evidence with police.
