Romford Resident ‘Could Have Been Killed’ in Shocking Late-Night Crash
A roaring black Audi A3 smashed through a quiet Romford street in the dead of night, causing thousands of pounds in damage and putting a local resident’s life at risk. The car sped down the road, right next to a 30mph speed camera, before colliding violently with parked cars and a home.
Car Flips Over, Wrecks Property
The Audi’s front end was completely destroyed in the crash, sending debris flying across a residential property’s frontage. Another vehicle was found overturned on its roof, pinned between the house and a boundary wall. One of its wheels smashed through the home’s front window and left the wall in ruins.
Emergency Services Rush to Scene
Police and firefighters were called to Rush Green Road at 2.36am on Thursday, February 27. A witness said, “I was woken after I heard a loud crash and dashed outside to see a man trapped in his car.”
A Met Police spokesperson confirmed officers arrived alongside the London Fire Brigade. The driver was treated at the scene before being rushed to hospital. Fortunately, his injuries are not life-threatening.
