Fake stabbing scare sparks panic at West London school
False stabbing claim spreads on social media
An alarming image claiming a teacher was stabbed at Brentside High School has been slammed as completely false. The headteacher of the west London co-ed secondary and sixth form has firmly denied the rumours.
Headteacher launches probe into hoax
Arwel Jones, the school’s head, confirmed an investigation is underway to trace the origins of the scare circulating on Snapchat and TikTok. He reassured staff and parents that no one has been harmed.
“We intend to get to the bottom of the matter and how it was started. I can assure you no one has been stabbed,” said Mr Jones.
What really happened in the school canteen?
Emergency services were called after a pupil suffered a fall inside the school canteen. Paramedics attended promptly, but this incident was mistakenly twisted into the stabbing rumour spreading online.
The viral Snapchat post, shared by a user named Shilleee with the caption “Only in BHS: Teacher been stabbed,” has now been discredited by school officials.
Parents and staff are urged to rely on official updates and ignore unverified social media claims that cause unnecessary fear.
