Manhunt Launched After 8-Year-Old Sexually Assaulted at Loch Ness Campsite

Police in the Scottish Highlands have launched a major manhunt after an eight-year-old boy was sexually assaulted inside his tent while camping with his family near Loch Ness.
The shocking attack took place between midnight and 1am on Thursday at the popular Loch Ness Bay Campsite in Drumnadrochit, Police Scotland confirmed.
Suspect Description Released
Officers are hunting a white male suspect, aged between 40 and 50, around 5ft 10ins tall, and bald.
Family and Community Left Reeling
The boy’s family, camping nearby, were left shaken by the ordeal. Specialist officers are supporting them as investigations continue.
Detective Inspector Christopher Macleod said: “A dedicated team of officers are carrying out investigations and it is vital we trace the man responsible as soon as possible.
If you were within the campsite or the surrounding area yesterday evening and noticed anything or anyone suspicious, please contact us.”
Heightened Police Presence and Appeal for Info
Police have stepped up patrols in Drumnadrochit, conducting door-to-door enquiries, CCTV reviews, and forensic searches in a bid to catch the attacker.
