Police Motorcyclist Airlifted After Serious Crash in Wiltshire
A police motorcyclist has been rushed to hospital after a nasty crash in the Wiltshire village of Aldbourne this Easter Monday.
Single-Vehicle Collision Shuts Down B4192
Emergency services scrambled to the scene of a serious collision on the B4192 South Street at around 2pm. The crash involved a Thames Valley Police motorcycle, ridden by a man who suffered severe injuries.
The rider was airlifted to the Major Trauma Centre at John Radcliffe Hospital in Oxford for urgent treatment.
Road Closure and Investigation Underway
Following the crash, the B4192 is closed in both directions between Aldbourne and Whittonditch. Authorities expect the closure to remain in place overnight as forensic teams investigate.
Wiltshire Police confirmed:
“Road closures are in place on the B4192 following a single vehicle collision involving a Thames Valley Police motorcyclist. The rider sustained serious injuries at 1:50 PM and is currently receiving hospital treatment. Next of kin have been informed.”
