Second Teen Held Over Fatal West London Stabbing

Tragic Attack Near East Acton Tube

A second teenager has been arrested following the brutal stabbing of 17-year-old Kieron Charles near East Acton Underground Station in West London.

The horrific attack happened around 1pm on Saturday, 5 April on Erconwald Street in Shepherd’s Bush, close to Old Oak Common Lane. Emergency crews rushed to the scene, but despite their efforts, Kieron was sadly pronounced dead at the location.

Another Boy Injured, Both Teens in Custody

A 16-year-old boy was also stabbed during the incident. He was taken to hospital, treated, and has since been discharged.

Shortly after, police arrested a 16-year-old boy on suspicion of murder. In the early hours of Sunday, a second 16-year-old was also detained in connection with the attack. Both remain in custody with no charges filed yet.

Police Appeal for Witnesses

Detective Chief Inspector Alex Gammampila said: “This is an awful incident in which a teenager has lost his life. The thoughts of everyone in the Met remain with Kieron’s family and loved ones as they come to terms with this tragic loss.”

“Detectives have worked around the clock to follow every possible lead. We have made two arrests as part of our early inquiries. We are not looking for anyone else in connection with this incident at this stage.”

“We appeal to anyone who was in the area between 1pm and 1:20pm on Saturday, or anyone with relevant information, to come forward.”
