Teen Caught with Cannabis Sparks Chaos

At around 2.40pm on Friday, officers patrolling The Concourse in NW9 stopped a 14-year-old boy under the Misuse of Drugs Act. He was arrested on suspicion of possessing cannabis.

Mob Gathers and Blocks Police Escape

As cops tried to take the teen into custody, a crowd formed, blocking the police vehicle from leaving. Backup was quickly called to the scene.

More Arrests in Police Obstruction Spree

  • Two men, aged 23 and 25, were nabbed for obstructing officers.
  • A 19-year-old was arrested for allegedly assaulting a police officer.

Chaos Marches to Coldindale Police Station

The police van eventually left, but 30-40 people followed on foot to Coldindale Police Station, creating a tense standoff. A cordon was set up and a Section 35 dispersal order authorised to clear the crowd.

Several officers suffered minor injuries but didn’t need hospital treatment. All arrested remain in custody. No reports of injuries to the public or detainees have surfaced yet.
