Serious Crash on Wareham Bypass: Police Hunt Witnesses
Police are urgently appealing for witnesses and dashcam footage after a serious crash on the Wareham bypass left a motorcyclist with life-changing injuries.
Crash Details: Ford C-Max Collides with Triumph Motorcycle
The smash happened around 4.50pm on Sunday 12 May 2024, on the A351 near the A352 Worgret Road junction. It involved a grey Ford C-Max and a black Triumph motorcycle.
The biker, a man in his 50s from Poole, was rushed to hospital with serious injuries. The Ford driver suffered minor wounds.
Road Closures and Police Appeal
Emergency services closed the roads while they dealt with the aftermath and examined the scene. The closures were lifted around 7.30pm.
Police Sergeant Dave Cotterill said: “I am carrying out enquiries to establish what happened and am keen to speak to any witnesses who were in the area. I would also like to hear from any motorists who may have captured anything of relevance on dashcam footage. Finally, I would like to thank the public for their patience and understanding while the road closures were in place.”
