Drug Raids Hit Corsham and Chippenham: Multiple Arrests Made

Massive Police Busts Uncover Cocaine and Cannabis

Armed cops, dog units, and neighbourhood teams swooped on several homes across Corsham and Chippenham last Friday evening, starting around 5.30pm. The first stop was Orchard House, Orchard Road, Corsham, where officers seized a stash of Class A drugs (cocaine) and cash.

A 36-year-old local man was grabbed on suspicion of Possession With Intent To Supply Class A drugs and Possession of Criminal Property. He’s now released under investigation as police probe deeper.

Second Raid Nets More Drugs and Arrests

Meanwhile, at Royal Close, Chippenham, police found both Class A (cocaine) and Class B (cannabis). A local man and woman were arrested on similar charges – intent to supply Class A and B drugs plus criminal property possession. Both have also been released under investigation.

More Warrants Executed Over Weekend

  • Saturday morning: A 30-year-old man at Little Down, Chippenham, was arrested for Possession With Intent To Supply cannabis. Released under investigation.
  • Saturday afternoon: Another raid at Royal Close, Chippenham, saw a 33-year-old man arrested for Possession With Intent To Supply Class A drugs. Police also suspect electricity theft at this address. He too was released under investigation.

Police Urge Public to Report Drug Activity

“We would urge anyone who has a concern about drug dealing in their area to call us and report it,” said Sgt Rich Marshall. “You could be providing information and intelligence which helps us arrest offenders and bring them to justice.”
