Police Hunt Reckless ‘Pit Bike Chavs’ Terrorising Southampton Streets

Southampton cops are on the trail of two pit bike riders who have been causing chaos on local roads. The troublemakers were spotted riding dangerously on Shirley High Street around 5:45pm and again just after 6:15pm on Mansel Road East yesterday (Jan 19).

Yellow Pit Bike and Mystery Partner on the Loose

The police describe one of the bikes as yellow. No details are yet available on the colour or look of the second bike. Both riders were reportedly not wearing helmets, instead covering their faces with scarves.

No Helmets, No Shame

The bikers’ reckless antics are raising serious safety concerns in the Millbrook and Southampton West areas. Officers suspect the riders might be storing their bikes locally and want the public’s help tracking them down.

Police Plea: Got Dashcam? Speak Up!

PC Simon Peacock, leading Operation Torque to fight motorcycle nuisance, urged: “We’d like to hear from anyone driving in the area at the time who might have dashcam footage of these bikes.”

Anyone with information should call 101 in confidence and quote incident number 44170023832.
