Teen Stabbed to Death on Woolwich Bus: Two Arrested

Woolwich was rocked by violence on January 7 when 14-year-old Kelyan Bokassa was fatally stabbed on a crowded 472 route bus. The attack happened at around 2:30pm near the Woolwich Ferry bus stop on Church Road, close to the A205 South Circular.
Despite emergency crews rushing to the scene, Kelyan was pronounced dead on the spot, leaving the community reeling in shock and grief.
Police Launch Murder Probe, Make Arrests
The Metropolitan Police quickly stepped in, with Detective Chief Inspector Martin Thorpe leading the investigation. DCI Thorpe said:
“The incident happened shortly before 14:30hrs on a route 472 bus on Woolwich Church Street, SE18 at the Woolwich Ferry bus stop. If anyone saw this horrific attack or was in the area, I urge them to come forward and speak to officers. We’re particularly interested in any mobile phone footage that captured this incident, or any dashcam or doorbell footage from around the surrounding area at the time.”
On January 15, two teenage boys aged 15 and 16 were arrested and charged with murder the following day. They remain in custody as the case moves forward.

Officers are seeking anyone who was on the bus or in the Woolwich Church Road area between 2pm and 3pm on January 7 to come forward. Vital information could hold the key to justice for Kelyan.
