Shock stabbing in Oxford park leaves boy, 15, fighting for life

Brutal Attack at Fry’s Hill Park

Thames Valley Police are hunting witnesses after a vicious assault in Oxford took a dark turn. Around 7pm on Tuesday, 25 March 2025, a gang of 10 to 15 thugs approached four teenage boys cycling through Fry’s Hill Park, Blackbird Leys.

Without warning, two or three assailants launched a savage attack. One boy was stabbed in the nose, another dragged from his bike and beaten.

Young Victims Seriously Hurt

  • The 15-year-old stabbed suffered a serious wound to the nose and remains in hospital in stable but critical condition.
  • A 16-year-old was violently assaulted but escaped without needing hospital treatment.

The attackers are described as late teens to early twenties, dressed all in dark clothing.

Police Step Up Patrols and Call for Help

Detective Constable Beth Liversidge from Oxford police station said:

“I understand this incident will worry the local community. We are investigating thoroughly and increasing patrols in the area over the coming days. We urge anyone with concerns or information to come forward.”

Witnesses and Video Evidence Urgently Needed

The police want anyone around Fry’s Hill Park at 7pm on 25 March who saw the attack or who has dashcam, CCTV, or mobile phone footage to get in touch.

Digital evidence can be uploaded through a dedicated online portal for the investigation.
