Balaclava-Clad Burglars Smash Their Way Into Abingdon Home

Two masked raiders struck at around 4.10pm on Friday (7/6) on Lydsee Gate, smashing patio doors to break into a property.

Thieves Flee When Owner Disturbs Break-In

The burglars, dressed all in black with scarves and balaclavas covering their faces, were caught inside by the homeowner. They bolted immediately, jumping over the garden fence at the rear to escape.

Police Appeal for Witnesses and Dash-Cam Footage

  • Both suspects are medium build, about 5ft 10ins tall.
  • Police officer PC Victoria Weems urged locals to come forward: “There were likely several people nearby who might have seen something.”
  • “If you have dash-cam footage from around the time, please review it and contact us,” she added.
