Desperate Hunt for Missing Islington Man Frank McKeever
Police have released CCTV footage showing some of Frank McKeever’s final movements before he vanished without a trace. The 63-year-old, from Islington’s N1 area, was last seen on the night of August 28, 2021, wandering along Highbury Park near the junction with Highbury Grange.
Detectives are particularly keen to recover a distinctive rucksack Frank often carried — it remains missing and could hold vital clues.
Last Sighting and Police Search Efforts
- Frank was last spotted wearing a black bomber jacket, black top, dark trousers, and black shoes around 10pm.
- His phone and bank accounts have been untouched since his disappearance, sparking grave concerns about his safety.
- Marine Policing Unit divers recently scoured Regents Park Canal near Shepperton Road to aid the investigation.
Detective Inspector Laura Nelson of the Specialist Crime Command urged the public: “Frank’s disappearance is out of character, and we strongly suspect he has come to serious harm. No piece of information is too small.”
Three Arrests Made But No Charges Yet
So far, three people have been arrested in connection with Frank’s disappearance:
- A 30-year-old woman arrested on suspicion of murder (September 2021)
- A 46-year-old man arrested on suspicion of murder (October 2021)
- A 45-year-old woman arrested on suspicion of conspiracy to murder (December 2021)
All have since been released under investigation as police continue their search.
Family Plea: “Help Us Bring Frank Home”
