Three Arrested After Fatal Crash on A419 Released as Probe Continues

Three people arrested following a deadly road crash on the A419 near the M4 junction on Tuesday night (02/01) have now been freed from custody.

Man in 20s Bailed for Dangerous Driving

A man in his twenties, held on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving, has been released on bail while police continue their investigation.

Two Others Released Under Investigation

The two other car occupants, also in their twenties, were arrested for taking a vehicle without consent. Both have now been released but remain under investigation as authorities gather more evidence.

Teenage Victim Dies at Scene

The tragic crash happened just before 11pm when a Vauxhall Astra smashed into the roundabout at the M4 junction. Sadly, a teenage boy inside the car died at the scene from his injuries. Formal ID is still pending.

Roads Reopened After Disruption

Following the collision, one lane of the M4 exit slip and one lane of the A419 were temporarily closed but have since reopened to traffic.
