Volvo Clue in Young Man’s Fatal Shooting – Police Make New Arrests

Detectives probing the brutal murder of Oluwamayowa Adeyemi, aka Samson, have swooped with two more arrests. The police are hunting for vital info on a big Volvo estate believed tied to the suspects. The vehicle was found dumped on Cowper Road, N16, early Saturday morning, 6 June.

Volvo Estate Recovered With Fake Plates

The Volvo was untouched when cops found it, sporting a false registration plate: EX18 EXE. Samson was fatally shot just after 11:30pm on Friday, 5 June, on Brackenfield Close, E5. Despite frantic efforts by police and paramedics, he died at the scene from a chest gunshot wound.

More Arrests Made, But The Hunt Goes On

  • On Monday, 22 June, a 20-year-old woman was arrested for perverting the course of justice and firearm possession. She’s now released on bail until late July.
  • On the same day, a 24-year-old man was also taken in on the same charges and similarly bailed.
  • Earlier arrests include a 22-year-old man (murder suspicion) and two men aged 20 and 21 (concerned in murder), all released on bail pending further inquiries.

Detective Pleads For Witnesses To Step Forward

Detective Chief Inspector Paul Considine said: “The Volvo is a key part of this investigation. When found, it had false plates and could have had different ones before. The car has distinctive scuff marks on the front bumper corners, and the passenger door mirror is taped on. We need anyone who’s seen this Volvo or knows who drives it to come forward, no matter how small the detail.”

“If you witnessed the shooting on Brackenfield Close or have any information, please get in touch. This tragedy has shattered lives. Your tip could help catch those responsible.”
