Three Men Arrested Over Murder of 20-Year-Old in Edmonton

Detectives have arrested three men on suspicion of murder after 20-year-old Ishak Tacine was fatally stabbed in Edmonton, north London.

Three Men in Custody

The suspects, aged 18, 18, and 20, were taken to a north London police station for questioning. Meanwhile, a 16-year-old boy initially arrested on suspicion of murder and violent disorder has been released but remains under investigation.

Fatal Stabbing at Cavendish Road

The tragedy unfolded on Wednesday, 27 June, when police were called at 6.33pm following reports of a violent clash involving males armed with baseball bats. Emergency services, including London Ambulance Service and London Air Ambulance, rushed to the scene.

Officers found Ishak with stab injuries and he was pronounced dead at 7.20pm. His family has been informed. A post-mortem at Haringey mortuary confirmed the cause of death as a stab wound.

Investigation Underway

The Homicide and Major Crime Command is leading the inquiry and remains open-minded about the motive. Extra police patrols are working with local communities for reassurance and to gather information.

Detective Chief Inspector Chris Soole said: “Although we have made three arrests for murder, we continue to appeal to those with information to get in touch. This is another tragic loss of young life. Those responsible must be caught and brought to justice. Any information passed to police will be treated with the strictest confidence.”
