Blaze breaks out above Papa John’s in Cosham – three teens arrested

Police were scrambled at 7.54pm on Friday, August 6 after firefighters spotted flames ripping through a flat above Papa John’s on Cosham High Street. The Hampshire and Isle of Wight Fire and Rescue Service quickly doused the blaze.

No Injuries, But Three Teens in Custody

Thankfully, nobody was hurt in the fire. However, three boys – two from portsmouth/" title="Portsmouth" data-wpil-keyword-link="linked">Portsmouth aged 17 and 15, plus a 15-year-old from Waterlooville – have been arrested on suspicion of arson. They remain in police custody as investigations continue.

Police Hunt Witnesses and Footage

Officers are urging anyone who was near the scene before or during the fire to come forward. Even the smallest scrap of information could prove crucial.

“If anyone has any mobile phone footage, please get in touch,” the police said.
