Tragic Stabbing Outside Nuneaton Shopping Centre Leaves Man Dead

A 25-year-old man was fatally stabbed outside the Ropewalk shopping centre in Nuneaton Town Centre on Saturday, June 8. Tom Ellis, from St Nicholas Park, suffered a fatal wound just before 9.30pm and later died in hospital.

Victim Identified, Police Investigate

With the family’s blessing, police have confirmed the victim’s identity as Tom Ellis. Despite emergency treatment, he succumbed to his injuries. A post-mortem is underway as part of a wider murder inquiry led by Warwickshire Police.

Two Teenagers Arrested Over Murder

Police swiftly arrested two local teenagers aged 14 and 15 on suspicion of murder. Both remain in custody as detectives scour CCTV footage and question witnesses to piece together what happened outside Ropewalk.

Community Condemns Senseless Violence

Chief Inspector Kris Shore slammed the stabbing as a “tragic incident of senseless violence.” He vowed: “We will not rest until we identify, arrest, and charge those responsible.”

Officers have been deployed in Nuneaton town centre to gather information and offer support. “Our thoughts are with Tom’s family,” added Inspector Shore. “We will back them every step of the way through the investigation and courts.”
