Manhunt Underway After Rape on Busy Leeds-Huddersfield Train
Sex Assault Shocks Rush Hour Commuters
British Transport Police are hunting a predator who sexually assaulted a woman on a packed train between Leeds and Huddersfield. The attack happened shortly after 7pm on Tuesday, 15 April 2025, right in the middle of a bustling rush hour carriage.
CCTV Image Released to Crack the Case
Officers have today released an image of a man they want to speak to over the vile incident. They believe he may hold key information that could help bring the culprit to justice.
“Do you recognise this man? Officers investigating a sexual assault on board a train between Leeds and Huddersfield have released this image,” said a British Transport Police spokesperson.
“Shortly after 7pm on Tuesday 15 April, a man sexually assaulted a woman on the service. We urge anyone who knows this man or has information to come forward.”
