Detectives have swooped on two teenagers following a terrifying shooting in Upminster that left an 11-year-old boy injured.
Teen Duo Held Over Aggravated Burglary
The 16 and 18-year-old suspects were arrested on suspicion of aggravated burglary and are now in police custody. A specialist team from the Specialist Crime Command is digging into the case.

- Police and paramedics rushed to a Kerry Drive address at 9.30pm on Friday, 1 May.
- Inside, an 11-year-old boy was found with a gunshot wound.
- A man in his 40s suffered head lacerations, possibly from a gun or knife.
- Both victims were treated at hospital; the man’s injuries are not life-threatening.
- The boy remains in a serious but stable condition – his wounds might have long-lasting effects.
Burglars Posed as Delivery Driver to Break In
Police say the homeowner was fooled by a fake delivery driver. The impostor, along with others armed with knives, forced their way inside. Two firearms were recovered from the scene.
Several suspects fled before police arrived. Detectives are piecing together how the attack unfolded.
