Man Dies After Horror Crash in Dover

A fatal collision on Frith Road, Dover, has left a man dead and police hunting witnesses. The smash happened around 5:40pm on Saturday, 9 November 2019, involving a red Peugeot 207 and a man believed to be in his 40s.

Pedestrian Dies at Scene

Emergency crews from the South East Coast Ambulance Service rushed to treat the injured man, but sadly he died at the scene. Two arrests followed – a 31-year-old man and 30-year-old woman, both local to Dover, were held on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving and remain in custody.

Police Seek Witnesses and Dashcam Footage

A vehicle thought to be involved was later found abandoned on Astley Avenue near the allotments. Officers want anyone who saw the red Peugeot or the pedestrian before or after the crash to come forward. Dashcam footage recorded around the time could be vital.
