Two Arrested in East London Terror Raids
27-Year-Old Nabbed Over Terror Plot
On Tuesday, 12 November, police swooped on an east London home, arresting a 27-year-old man. He is suspected of involvement in planning or encouraging terrorism, under section 41 of the Terrorism Act 2000. The man was taken to a south London police station and remains in custody.
21-Year-Old Arrested for Terror Promotion
On the same day, another raid targeted a different east London address. A 21-year-old man was arrested for encouraging terrorism and spreading terrorist material, charges under sections 1 and 2 of the Terrorism Act 2006. Detained under PACE, he too is being held at a south London police station.
Both investigations are ongoing as police dig deeper into these terror-related offences.
