Two Men Nabbed in South West London Terror Probe
Two men were arrested in a dramatic swoop by the Met’s Counter Terrorism Command on Tuesday, 16 July. The arrests took place at a residential address in south west London as part of an ongoing terror investigation.
Suspicions of Terror Funding and Dangerous Documents
- A 28-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of funding terrorism, breaking Section 17 of the Terrorism Act 2000.
- A 42-year-old man faces charges for possessing documents likely useful for planning terror acts, contrary to Section 58 of the same act.
In Custody as Police Search Multiple Locations
Both suspects remain in police custody at a south London station under Section 41 of the Terrorism Act. Officers are actively searching a residential address in south west London and have just finished a commercial premises sweep in south east London.
The investigation is ongoing, with police continuing their enquiries.
